Dip into the abyss
It can be scary, serene, and downright splendid to let that first toe ‘Dip Into the Abyss’ but all it takes is a little trust in the universe to slide in. There is no particular up or down, rhyme or reason, or ultimate message with this piece. The ‘who’ and ‘why’ are just as mysterious as the abyss itself, and honestly matter much less than the shared inclination to jump right in.
This painting was a bit of a first for me as far as just how much mixed media was included along with the fact that this was largely unplanned. Once I had the image of the tiny highlighted foot I just let loose with everything else and am fond of the depth created with so many layers.
